  • Do you accept insurance?
We don’t bill insurance directly so we can offer flexible, personalized support without the restrictions or delays that often come with insurance approval. However, we’re happy to provide superbills for possible reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. Contact us anytime if you’d like help requesting or submitting a superbill—we’re here to support you!
  • What services do you offer?
We offer holistic behavior support focused on empowering parents and caregivers with practical tools they can use every day. We also provide 1:1 sessions for neurodivergent adults navigating life transitions, developing self-advocacy skills, and building regulation strategies. In addition, Shine offers individualized training for professionals, including medical staff, teachers, first responders, and police officers, to promote inclusive, compassionate care for neurodiverse individuals.
  • What makes Shine’s approach different?
We focus on parent training and holistic care—equipping you with tools to support your loved one in everyday life. We believe lasting change starts at home.
  • How do I get started with Shine Behavior Consulting?
Getting started is easy! Simply schedule a free consultation to discuss your needs, goals, and whether we’re a good fit. From there, we’ll work with you to create a personalized plan for support.
  • Do you only help individuals who have an autism diagnosis?
No, a diagnosis is not required to receive support. We work with individuals who may not have a formal diagnosis, as well as those with autism, Down syndrome, ADHD, TBI, and other developmental or neurological differences. Our approach focuses on addressing each person’s strengths, needs, and family goals, not labels.
  • What ages do you work with?
We support parents and caregivers of loved ones ages 2 and up—including teens and adults—whether or not there’s a formal diagnosis. Our approach is flexible, individualized, and built around your family’s unique needs and goals.
  • Do you collaborate with other professionals?
Yes! We’re happy to coordinate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, teachers, and other providers to ensure a consistent, well-rounded support plan.
  • Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can be held in-person at your home, in the community, or at Simple Sparrow Care Farm—a peaceful space with animals and natural sensory input. We provide in-person services in Austin and Dallas and virtual sessions across Texas.
  • Can I receive support if I don’t live in Austin or Dallas?
Absolutely! We provide virtual sessions to families across Texas, ensuring that you have access to support no matter where you live.
  • How long do sessions typically last?
Sessions typically last 1 hour but can be adjusted based on your family’s needs. We also offer flexibility in session frequency to ensure ongoing support.
  • What if I live outside of Texas?
If you're outside of Texas, we're still here to help! We offer Etsy resources (ShineConsultingShop) for downloadable tools and strategies, and we're excited to launch online modules soon, which will provide valuable support for families everywhere. Stay tuned for more details!
